11. Your Data Protection Rights under the California Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA)

CalOPPA, the first state law in the nation to require commercial websites and online services to post a privacy policy, extends its reach beyond California. It mandates that any person or company in the United States (and conceivably worldwide) operating websites that collect personally identifiable information from California consumers must post a conspicuous privacy policy. This policy must state exactly what information is being collected and with whom it's shared, and the entity must comply with this policy.

In accordance with CalOPPA, we agree to the following:

  1. Our Privacy Policy link includes the word "Privacy" and is easily found on our website's home page.
  2. Users will be notified of any privacy policy changes on our Privacy Policy Page.
  3. Users can change their personal information by emailing us at [email protected].

Our Policy on "Do Not Track" Signals:

We honor Do Not Track signals and refrain from tracking, planting cookies, or using advertising when a Do Not Track browser mechanism is in place. Do Not Track is a preference you can set in your web browser to inform websites that you don't want to be tracked.

You can enable or disable Do Not Track by visiting the Preferences or Settings page of your web browser.

12. Your Data Protection Rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)

As a California resident, you have the right to learn what data we collect about you, request its deletion, and opt out of its sale (sharing). To exercise your data protection rights, you can ask us:

  1. What personal information we have about you. If you make this request, we will provide:
    1. 1.1. Categories of personal information we've collected about you.
    2. 1.2. Sources from which we collect your personal information.

    4. 1.4. Categories of third parties with whom we share personal information.
    5. 1.5. Specific pieces of personal information we've collected about you.
    6. 1.6. Categories of personal information we've sold, including the category of the purchasing company. If we haven't sold your information, we'll inform you.
    7. 1.7. Categories of personal information we've disclosed for business purposes, including the category of the receiving company.

You can request this information twice in a 12-month period. The information provided may be limited to personal data collected about you in the previous 12 months.

2. To delete your personal information. Upon request, we'll delete the personal information we hold about you as of the request date and direct our service providers to do the same. In some cases, we may de-identify the information instead. Note that deleting your personal information may limit your ability to use certain functions that require this data to operate.

3. To stop selling your personal information. We don't sell or rent your personal information to third parties for any purpose, nor do we sell it for monetary consideration. However, under California law, some transfers of personal information to third parties or within our company, even without monetary exchange, may be considered a "sale." You own your Personal Data and can request its disclosure or deletion at any time.

If you ask us to stop selling your personal information, we will cease such transfers.

Please be aware that deleting or stopping the sale of your data may affect your experience with us. You might not be able to participate in certain programs or services that require your personal information. However, we will never discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

To exercise your California data protection rights, please email your request(s) to [email protected].

These data protection rights are covered by the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), which took effect on January 1, 2020. For more information, visit the official California Legislative Information website.
